Enterprise Reseller, and HP OpenView Authorized Executive

and strong partnerships with leading suppliers like HP enable
this company to offer its customers the highest level of
service and the most effective end-to-end technology infrastructure
solutions for its customers.
Business Challenge
To further solidify its relationship with
HP/Compaq, Forsythe has committed to enabling automation between
the two organizations in order to streamline the ordering
process. One of the business challenges for them was to insure
support for RosettaNet transactions with one of its key suppliers
and business partners. The other challenge was to find a software
product with the core functionality they needed from a vendor
that was considered a trusted business partner. Although other
solutions provided the technical functionality, Adeptia and
its BPM Server product provided the partnership this company
was seeking, which was in alignment with its corporate philosophy
of building long-term, strategic relationships.
Solution
Adeptia's BPM Server is currently supporting
this client's RosettaNet transactions with HP/Compaq. Adeptia
BPM Server was tested and deployed to send and receive RosettaNet
messages in a secure manner, parse inbound and outbound XML
messages, and deliver information directly to and from Forsythe's
Lawson and Order Management applications. Specifically, Adeptia
BPM Server is supporting the following Partner Interface Processes
(PIPs), which were deployed within a four week time frame:
3A4 - Purchase Order Request
3B2 - Advanced Shipment Notification
RosettaNet is a consortium of information technology, electronic
components and semiconductor manufacturing companies working
to create and implement industry-wide, open e-business process
standards to help reduce costs, raise productivity and engage
in dynamic, flexible trading partner relationships. Please
see Figure 1 for a diagram on how the BPM Server product
is enabling them to conduct B2B transactions.
Result
Adeptia BPM Server has enabled this client
to leverage the Internet in order to conduct business electronically
with one of its major suppliers. By using the RosettaNet standard,
Forsythe has been able to drive cost out of its supply chain
while eliminating error-prone, manual processes. More importantly,
automating the ordering process allows them to achieve a higher
level of customer satisfaction with its partners by providing
a real-time environment for order management. Because of the
initial success of the project, Forsythe will be utilizing
Adeptia's BPM Server to implement more Rosettanet PIPs.
