Shopify Connector Details
Shopify is a powerful ecommerce website solution that allows you to sell online by providing everything you need to create an online store.
Shopify integrations consist of two important components, Triggers and Actions. Triggers are used when Shopify is your “Source” application and you want to sync-up data from Shopify to your target system.
Actions are used when Shopify is your “Target” application and you want to sync-up data from another business system into this application.

Triggers
Setting up of triggers allows you to sync-up Shopify data objects with any application. When any event in Shopify occurs such as creation of a new Order, updating of a Customer record or creating a new Product item then the Trigger would automatically kick-off the related connection to sync-up this data with your target application.
User simply selects the Trigger from a drop-down list as shown in the image.
Some of the triggers are described here:
- New Abandoned Checkout
- Triggers when an abandoned checkout is created. Not everybody who adds something to a cart makes it all the way through to purchase a product. Sometimes they give up along the way. Anytime a potential customer provides their contact information but does not complete the order, Shopify stores that as an abandoned checkout.
- New Webhook
- Triggers when a Webhook is created. A Webhook is a tool for retrieving and storing data from a certain event. It allows you to register an http:// or https:// URL where the event data can be stored in JSON or XML formats.

Actions
An Action specifies how the data will be transferred at the destination location. While configuring Shopify as a target, you can select an Action from the list. Here is a snapshot of the drop-down menu that lists all the Actions.
Some more Actions are listed here:
- Create Page
- Create Product
- Create Smart Collection
- Create Theme
