Effective: February 2026
Adeptia uses AI to help you build integrations faster, process documents automatically, and to provide you with other Adeptia Services. Any Customer Data will be processed in accordance with these Terms of Service. These Terms explain how we use AI, protect your data, and how our Integration Knowledge Base works.
| Feature | What AI Does |
|---|---|
| AI Data Mapper | Suggests how to connect fields between systems |
| Business Rules | Generates validation rules from plain English |
| Document Processing | Extracts data from PDFs and images |
| AI Assistant | Answers questions about Adeptia |
AI Services: The AI-powered features within the Adeptia platform, including AI Data Mapper, AI Business Rules, Document Processing, and AI Assistant, which use large language models and document intelligence to generate recommendations, extract information, or automate tasks.
Customer Data: Any data provided, processed, or stored by the customer within the platform.
Metadata: Non-content information such as field names, schema structures, and mapping context.
Integration Knowledge Base: A proprietary collection of generic integration patterns. Customers may optionally contribute to anonymized patterns.
When you use AI features, data (including schemas, field names, and mapping context) is processed by AI services (large language models and document intelligence). AI features can be disabled if not needed.
You choose where AI runs:
| Option | How it Works |
|---|---|
| Adeptia-hosted | Data flows to Adeptia's cloud infrastructure. We manage the AI services. |
| Customer-hosted | Data flows to your own cloud subscription. You control the AI infrastructure. |
Both options provide the same data protection guarantees described below.
Regardless of deployment option:
Adeptia's enterprise agreements with AI providers contractually require these protections.
Adeptia may submit your Confidential Information, including Customer Data, to third-party artificial intelligence tools or services solely for the purpose of processing and delivering the services described in this Agreement. Such Confidential Information will not be used for any other purpose, including but not limited to improving, training, retraining, or fine-tuning third-party AI tools or services, without your express written permission. Adeptia will only use third-party AI providers that (i) have confirmed they will not use your Confidential Information for purposes beyond the agreed-upon processing, and (ii) are bound by a legally binding agreement with Adeptia that expressly prohibits such unauthorized use.
Adeptia may permit third-party AI products to perform transient or ephemeral processing necessary to provide the Services, provided such processing does not result in the storage, retention, or reuse of Customer Data for model training or improvement by any third-party.
Adeptia uses AI strictly in compliance with applicable laws.
To the best of Adeptia’s knowledge as of the date of these Terms, Adeptia has not received any written notice from a governmental authority alleging that datasets used in the development, training, improvement, or testing of the AI Services were unlawfully biased, manipulated, or otherwise developed in violation of applicable law.
Adeptia's AI is enhanced by a proprietary Integration Knowledge Base—integration patterns and expertise accumulated over 26 years. This knowledge base contains generic patterns, not customer data. Customers may opt-out of the ability to contribute anonymized integration patterns to improve AI recommendations for all users.

Adeptia shall provide Customer with reasonably available, non-proprietary information regarding the AI Services to enable Customer to meet its statutory and regulatory requirements, including providing Customer (a) developmental evidence explaining the AI components, design, and intended use, as well as information regarding the data used to develop the AI; and (b) information to indicate the AI’s limitations and underlying assumptions.
Such disclosures shall not require Adeptia to disclose proprietary algorithms, model weights, trade secrets, or other confidential or commercially sensitive information.

If Customer discovers material inaccuracies in the AI Output and such inaccuracies are caused by the AI and Customer notifies Adeptia of such inaccuracies, Adeptia shall use commercially reasonable efforts to investigate the issue and, if feasible, implement corrective measures that are generally applicable to the Services. Customer shall reasonably cooperate with Adeptia in such investigation and remediation.
